Pseudokiss-Masochist
Pseudokiss Masochist is a project devoted to hard beats, complicated
breaks, and subversion. It is also a cryptic phrase—poking fun and
venting outrage at the fickle club scene and its neverending drive
toward mediocrity and simple expectations.
Created by self-taught multi-instrumentalist and producer Chris
Marburger, his stage presence offers something that many acts can't
match. His lyrics are edgy and confrontational—with accusatory
fingers and aggressive movements he scares, fascinates and finally
captivates the audience into wanting more.
When asked about what kind of music he's trying to create he just
smiles and says, "I consider this to be a soundtrack...a study...into
the mind of a sociopath...given free reign to act out every selfish,
myopic, violent impulse he's ever considered. I also consider this
music as an exploration of revenge. And paranoia. You ever wanted to
get that bastard who cut you off in traffic or ordered the entire menu
at a drive-thru when you had five minutes left for lunch? This music
gives free reign to the psycho in all of us to tear that bastard
apart. Or at least fantasize...nobody's really that crazy, are
they...or are they?"
Pseudokiss Masochist has been played on KCSU's INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT,
KGNU's ELECRONIC AIR, and RANTRADIO.COM's show NORMALITY hostd by Vin
K-otik.
